Shirley Sherrod has not apologized…

Shirley Sherrod has not apologized for her statements and I appreciate that! In a world of excuses and sorry people Mrs. Sherrod has stood on her principles and defended her position. Some say that she should not have shared her experience because it made her a target while others still insist that her statement was clearly racist. From everything that I have heard from Mrs. Sherrod about her speech, about the incident, about her experiences before and after the incident I think that she deserves my respect.

Her father was murdered by a white man who was never tried then later she and several other Black Farmers lost their land yet Mrs. Sherrod always found a way to turn negatives into positives and helped others. In a world where the U.S. President apologizes for every statement he makes that someone somewhere considers to be politically incorrect and holds Beer Summits…I appreciate Shirley Sherrod!

She clearly is a person that not only learns from her experiences but shares her knowledge with others so they too can grow and move forward. She spoke about an experience that taught her that the plight of poor farmers no matter what race was the same. She spoke about how one of the determining factors in what happens to them is about whether they have or have not. She clearly admitted to wrong doing 24 years ago but her actions have shown that she is a good woman who is not a racist and fights against racism!

Now, I expect President Obama to make sure she gets her job back! No Beer Summit needed just correct the injustice by getting her back into her job!

Shirley Sherrod has not apologized and I hope she never does, since she clearly has done nothing wrong. No matter what happens I am sure Shirley Sherrod will return to helping Farmers Black, White, Hispanic, Male and Female in the state of Georgia creating the change we need through action!

I’m proudly Team Shirley. Where do you stand on this?

Before you respond I ask that you also ask yourself how did this video get in the hands of a Conservative Tea Party member in the first place?

Also, ask yourself who really benefits from the division that these types of situations create?
