tomorrow

February 21, 2011 by Lidia-Anain

I want to do the insane.

Fly a kite in the rain.

Key on the tail end.

Lightning.

Hoping the sparks hit me.

I’ll do anything to feel the pain.

Anything is better than what I’m feeling.

Nothing.

I remember how you smiled…

…then you told me I was dreamer.

I asked you to join me.

Declined.

You stayed sleeping.

Living without dreaming.

Our love slowly killing me.

Zombie.

Living a lie for our children.

Pretending to spare your ego.

Lusting for a dream with a happy ending.

Disney Princess.

No. Not. Never. Me.

Don’t recall needing rescuing.

I saw the picture created by the puzzle.

Thought in you were the missing pieces.

Wrong.

Is what I would be if I walked away.

From a good man tearing up a family.

To chase a dream that might never be.

Reality.

Never was the Fiction Writer’s cup of tea.

Sipping on your latte I’ll find you.

Serve you those divorce papers.

Tomorrow.
